Default Hello from The New Bachelor - OT

Hi there,

My name is Jimmy Greer; at least that is the name I am using online. I've put this message here in the hope it won't be seen as too self-promoting.

I’m a 40-something writer who had the shock of my life just before Christmas. My beautiful wife of 10 years up and left a week for was I see as no discernible reason. I started putting my thoughts into a daily blog to help get things off my chest and to try and see if I can make some sense of what is happening to me.

The time since then has been surreal to say the least, but the writing has been both therapeutic, fun (if you can call it that) and a great learning experience. I’d like to share my words with you in the hope of understanding what’s happening and to share some of the lighter and not so lighter sides of separation, divorce, etc.. As a writer, I am using this as an opportunity to learn about the world of online writing and blogging so I guess something good is coming out of my wife leaving..

I’d like feedback from anyone who cares to visit. You can find my blog at <---link removed--->. Anyhow, pop by have a read and say hello. I’m trying to keep things light, but some days it’s not so easy.

Best wishes to all of you.
Jimmy

10 days have passed, only one post and still no response to my original query so it would appear this is an attempt at self promotion. Lifesupporters.com is only interested in reciprocal link campaigns.

Please refer to our FAQ.

Sup Jimmy,

If it helps at all, I've been there bud. I got blindsided in a similar manner. If you need to talk, we are all listening.

Regards,

Welcome Jimmy, nice to have you with us!

Unfortunately in this day and age, split marriages are more common than successful ones so you're in good company here because many of us have been through similar issues; oftentimes more than once in our lives.

As for the link to your site, I'll leave it up for now but if it's to remain here permanently, it will require a reciprocal link to either lifesupporters.com (http://www.lifesupporters.com, PREFERRED) or lifesupporters.com/forums (http://www.lifesupporters.com/forums/).

The reason for this is that we are continually inundated with "one-post-wonders" around here that only register with the intent to promote their products, services, websites, or draw a quality backlink. In order to police fairly, we have to treat everyone the same because favoritism is the killer of all forums if you ask me.

The only exception to this offsite linking rules is regular members are allowed to link anywhere they like offsite so long as it conforms to the guidelines set forth by Family Friendly.

Linking to lifesupporters.com is not a bad thing either as we are listed with Family Friendly, Safesurf and I.C.R.A (certified "Web Everyone"). We also have a reasonably strong Google PR of 5 through much of the Joomla Site and 4 in our forums.

In other words, a reciprocal link campaign is a very fair proposition.

Ken

Staff has ruled the original post is self promoting in nature so offsite links have been removed.
