Isis and I were gone yesterday to go to my oldest son's baby shower....and then help afterwards with putting everything away. Today, Isis, Sn00p's and I just goofed around...but had a fun day.

Happy Mother's day to all mothers!

well, we didn't make the licence bureau on friday so i didn't have my van on the road (it better happen tomorrow!!) so i stayed home all day. kassandra was really sweet. she took care of erika most of the day, cleaned up the house a little for me and basically let me relax with no interuptions. Gerry came home from work with a long stem rose. he's taken me out to dinner all weekend long. oh and kassandra is going to give me one of her famous foot massages. that should put me to sleep!

It was a good day.

I can't believe I didn't post something about this on the front page, sorry ladies.

I have to write something a little more cheerful and this gave me the chance. I surprised my mother with reservations to a hole-in-the-wall Portugese restaurant. It had been recommended in several dining guides and she's wanted to go there since it opened.

I felt a little guilty because I did not have anything for her until Saturday afternoon when Jen and I dropped into the restaurant and had an early dinner. I had never been and thought it would be perfect for Mother's day and the owner chef said that usually he was not open on Sunday, but would be open this Sunday.

I have often seem have good luck being spontaneous, but there are acceptions. I was glad this worked out great.
