Happy Father's Day to all the Dads..and a very special one to you, Duke!

I spent so much time this morning trying to find the perfect E-card or poem to send to you...but none touched my heart like I wanted them to...

So...I just want to tell you what an incredibly wonderful Dad you are to your beautiful daughter...how touching it is to be in your presence when you talk with her, when you laugh with her, when you tease her, or when you spar with her! She has so many of your wonderful traits like your wit, your sense of humour, your love of laughter and your gibes. You are truly everything a great Dad should be....

I just want to tell you for the millionth time what an honour it is to be your Mom and watch and learn and to be better myself....

I have a question for you all, what kind of dance academy/school/ decides to hold all their end of the year crap on a fathers day weekend?

Quite honestly, this has been the busiest and worst fathers day I've ever had.

To me, these holidays are about spending time with your loved ones and family, not parading around Gods creation and watch other kids for hours on end just for the 3 minute joy of watching your own kids dance.

Sorry for the rant, but this whole thing has truly pissed me off.

However, what time I did have with Dwoing was awesome except for the time she accidentally locked my keys in the trunk on Saturday :? I kinda told her to go away so I didn't lose my cool (which I guess I already had at that point) because there is no way in my trunk without power. It ended up taking a few hours to finally get a wrecker out there to get my keys out and I ended up missing my daughters dance which was the only reason I was out there in the first place.

What a pisser.

Sorry your fathers day didn't go so well. I wonder about schools and such that schedule their functions on special days as well. I guess their thought is, well you are seeing your child do something special today so you should appreciate it or some such bullsh*t. Anyway, at least you got to spend some time with her and, really, isn't everytime you are with her Fathers Day? You don't need a government sponsored holiday for those special times in your life. Just trying to ease your stress over the whole thing. Happy Fathers Day Duke! :wink:
