I think the weather is too bad to have the usual barbeque and fireworks...but you can bet people will still try. The closest I'll get to that is maybe going out for a hamburger.

It's cloudy....but not raining...so I guess we'll be stuck hearing the local clowns set off fireworks and firecrackers until midnight. Jackson is going with his friends to go see the big light show they put on at the beach. I'll stay home with the dog....who has been getting quite excited each time someone sets one off in the neighborhood. Soooo...it's just me and the dog......hoping either Meanon or Chloe will want to chat later.

Happy 4th, everybody!
I'll most likely head over to the Parkway to watch the fireworks, but I think I'll skip the free concert this year. Lionel Richie and Fantasia Barrino just don't do it for me.
It would be awfully hard to top last year's concert anyway, when we had Elton John and Bryan Adams. 8)

Thanks Luba. I thought I was having a dejavu moment when I saw the old post from last year before I realized you recycled it!
This year looks like it will be just about as un-exciting as last year. This year I was actually going to go to the fireworks but Jackson decided he wanted to see the ones downtown off the bridge this year. So, once again, I think I'll just stay home with the dog and post.

We went to a friend's house, played in their pool, drank beer, and had steak and lots of side dishes to enjoy. When we got home we shot off fireworks. We had a nice time and it didn't rain this year so we had that going for us too. Thanks to all who wished us Americans a Happy 4th. It is much appreciated.
