going back to school
Im thinking about going back to school and getting an MBA, when i first finished school i never wanted to go back, now i look back on it and it doesnt seem like it was that bad. Though work and school might be tougher even if i only take 1 or 2 classes at a time. My reason for going back is that by the time i would be done i could have a better chance to get a manager position and school is a good place to meet girls.

It would help with your career, eventually. And is one of the most fruitful ways of spending "free" time. The combination of work and school is hard, but manageable.
But do it for real reasons, not incidental ones, such as meeting girls. An MBA is more than a welcom addition on your resume.
I can see the merit in your plan, and think you should strongly consider it.

Re:
i wouldnt go just for girls, but its a good secondary reason, i think a lot of it is i dont feel like i learn anything at work, 95% of all problems are the same.

I am afraid a lot of jobs are like that. What are your chances of getting a non-boring job, with your current qualifications? If they are low, yes that argues strongly in favor of doing the MBA.

Re:
i have a degree in advertising, so if i could actually find a job in that field it would be different a lolt with different companies, however, those jobs are very hard to get, so the MBA would help there too, but id settle for a job here that doesnt involve being on the phone all day, like being a manager, i just want something to earn more money so that i can invest more

Re:
can't you apply for a manger or supervisor position at work DA? I know those are always options where i work. In any company that work, you always have to start at the bottom and work your way up. make that your long term goal and you'll acheive it. In the meantime, take a couple courses that would fit around your schedule; do both.
one of my sayings that I truly believe in is" Life is what you make of it, make it happen". only you can do that. with the right positive attitude and goal setting, you can acheive anything.

Re:
yeah i can, but i probably wont get it, im 22, less then a year out of college, they are not likely to take me, if i have an MBA its a lot easier to convince them to give me the position.
in some ways im surprised my parents didnt push harder for me to go to grad school, both my father and grandfather have PHDs so i always thought i was expected to, but i didnt and now i want to, but yeah im gonna start with one course and go from there, though i do have to take an entrance exam and pick a school.

you know, my supervisor with my last department was only 18. age doesn't matter if you can do the job. this is what i mean about a positive attitude. it will take you far! if that's what you want, then go get it.
how about doing it online? that's how i plan on furthering my education in the next couple years since i work full time. does your company offer to help with paying? most do now. something you can look into.

Sounds like a good idea to me DA. Can you get day release? That way you can keep your job and have all the benefits of being a student too. Seems to me like you are getting bored at work so promotion or another qualification may be the challenge you need.

Re:
sitting there answering phones can get very very boring after awhile. I know i got super bored doing that with the campaign i was on. i had to go to a different department or i would've lost my mind. it was so robotic. not for me. i need a job where i can problem solve and use my brain. that just wasn't it.
speaking of work, i go back tomorrow. my holidays are over now.
