A friendship forum
I think there should be a section for friendship issues. I have been having such issues lately and no place to really put the topics.

I know Duke's been on a quest to streamline the forum listings..in order to provide less scrolling. Perhaps when he reads this....he'll come up with a good idea to incorporate this forum heading into his new plan.
I'm thinking a 'General Life' area would cover a multitude of forum topics. I'm not sure though. Usually, Duke comes up with a better plan than I do.
Emphasis on the word USUALLY....so as to not give the R00STER the big head!!

Merika finally hit the nail on the head, not bad, it only took her 5241 posts
I have no problems creating new forums but as Merika said, I hate scrolling and so do many others which is why some of the forums we had earlier evaporated. I like Merika's idea for a "General Life" forum or something similar. Anyone else have any other ideas and which forums I can lose to add this one?
Also, if you have any ideas on which forums I can combine that would also be helpful.

you could combine marriage/divorce & seperation/dating to add the friendship forum. I think a friends forum is a good idea because there have been talk about friends and DA is right; there really isn't anywhere to put it.

How about a great big 'sometimes life sucks' forum?
Okay...I was just kidding. I'm in an odd mood today.

Hmmm...
Actually I rarely scroll through the assorted forums, simply going to see all posts since my last visit, and really not caring in what forum the post was made.
Now, I suppose I make some effort to BEGIN a thread in the appropriate forum, but this is done more as a formality than necessity. Frankly, with the small number of posters, it seems unnecessary to need more than 3 forums: Adult, Teen, Kids.
And really, the fact is, the teen/kid forum is there to make the site qualify for the "family friendly" lable, which, IMHO, acts more as an inconvienience to free communication than anything.

I don't think any of the younger members post on anything but the regular forums. They seem to like to interact with us Oldie Goldies. LOL! Good point Samson.

Having the kid and teen forums is not a requirement of family friendly. I don't even require forums at all in fact. Family Friendly only means the content on the site is such that all members of the family can read, in other words it's clean. No links to pr0n, gambling, tobacco, warez sites and you're sites a candidate.
The reason for having it broken into teen and child forums is so those age groups can talk amongst themselves about issues specific to their age. Currently we don't have a lot of members who are kids so the forums are unused for the most part but I don't believe that will always be the case.

SH suggested we change Friends and Relatives to Friends and Family which I thought was a great idea so it's done.

That's OK, but when more kids begin to participate than adults, then I'll find another forum. I don't mind a couple of kids posting, but I'm really not into having much more communication with kids than I do.
I find being able to post/read posts on a mature discussion board (not necessarily an ADULT discussion board) a very refreshing change of pace.

The focus in this particular forum was always to be open to all ages to work out the problems of life together. IF it began to interfere with the needs of the adults of this forum.....I know Duke has other ideas in order to meet whatever people are looking for.
The entire thought of Lifesupporters was more community minded and will eventually encompass a variety of communities and individuals.
Gosh ...that sounded like a Sunday School Pamphlet....but I didn't mean it that way. :?
