The bad

and the ugly

As you've participated in several forums through the years....how do you feel about them in general? What makes the difference between the good, the bad and the ugly?

The good forums are the ones that make you feel at home from the time you register.

Bad forums are ones that have staff that actually allow topics to be viewed but never replied to. I hate forums where each topic has thousands of views and only one or two replies.

The ugly are tech forums or info sources where your question is important but none of the (so called) experts can offer any advice.

I think a good forum is what Duke said in feeling welcome....also one which has a lot of interaction and threads to comment on.

I think a bad forum is if you are new and no one responds to you personally or to your post OR the people on the forum who know each other talk around you but never TO you.

I thing the UGLY is when people flame each other OR you have moderators which goof with your post or ban you just because you differ in opinion.

The good is where everybody is nice, where you feel comfortable, and everybody respects eachother

I have only subscribed to 3 fourms so I don't know much about the "bad" or any middle ground but the

UGLY is where Mods are disrespectful, people don't know when to stop arguing, when forums have "clicks" and are favored over other member.

Speaking of the UGLY I have invited some new members that are leaving a UGLY form some of us are familiar with, they are all wonderful people with great personalities. I hope to see them all very soon.

I seem to have nothing better to do with my day than add to my SMILEY collection! HAHA!

What is bad is that my carpet cleaner soap has been sitting on the kitchen counter for 4 days now waiting to be used! GEEZE!

I have no desire to join any other forums because I spend most of my free time on here and IG, I have posted a few times on an Artist forum and one other...
