Finally did it...
I quit my job yesterday, 2 and a half years in that miserable place and the only people I ever saw leave were fired. A lot of my friends and really good people got fired over stupid things or laid off for "restructuring" and it just didn't sit right with me. There's a lot more to me quitting then I can sit here and write but basically it was do or die time, I'd be stuck there for a long time if I didn't quit.
Also I started my own business on Monday, registered it and everything. It's really quite exciting, we have trade shows lined up almost every weekend for 2 months starting in 2 weeks. The product gets lots of attention whenever I mention it and I've had tons of positive feedback, here's hoping it does well. I've spent countless hours researching every aspect of the product, dealing with manufacturers and distributors of parts so I can get lower prices and trying to figure out better and cheaper ways to do things. It's extremely nuts, I'm up to my eyeballs in paperwork and having my fingers in every aspect of planning and executing, including overseeing my "employees" (brother and friend) as they put the products together. It's very busy, very overwhelming and very very exciting. But I'm getting on top stuff now, finished getting everything done with the bank and the government, I just need to sit down and write up my business plan sometime soon.

Thanks very much for the well wishes guys, it's so important to be doing something you love because otherwise it'll just slowy drive you insane. Just look at Duke for example!

Tell me about it, sometimes I do wonder if my cheese is sliding off my cracker.

That is at least a bit more sane than wondering if the cracker is trying to get the cheese of its back.

I'm manufacturing and selling the projector I posted about a couple months ago. Everyone we've showed it to has been really excited and/or interested in purchasing one so we're going to make them available. To ensure I won't have much down time, we've booked ourselves into a few craft and trade shows over the summer to see how well we do, persronally I can't wait, even if it doesn't do well I'm excited to be doing something different.
I'm working on the webpage and stuff over the next couple days, I'll update this topic when everything is ready.
