Clevelanders apparently love to e-mail

CLEVELAND -- Like checking your email?

If you live in Cleveland, you’re apparently not alone.

A new survey by America Online found that Cleveland is the 12th most e-mail addicted city in the nation.

Computer junkies here check their “In-boxesâ€Â� an average of five times a day.

About 80-percent of us have more than one e-mail address and nearly 40-percent of Clevelanders check their email in the middle of the night.

I know next to nothing about American cities, but it might have to do with the kind of jobs Cleveland has to offer.

I don't think the average construction worker will check his email 5 times a day, but the average lawyer / secretary / bank manager will, without doubt.

Probably people from the various minorities will use the computer less on average, and these minorities might barely be present in the city.

Older people (60+) might barely use computers, and there may be less elderly than the national avg. in the city.
