My dad had an alcohol problem when I was a kid. HE got it in control ver the years, but I was old enough to remember the worst part.
And he didn't even realise what he was doing to us, with the endless shouting and fights and tension... This is why I ask you to forgive me if I come real hard on you at times.
I've felt it's potential to damage everyone. DA, if ever alcohol gets a hold of you, itwon't ruin your life alone. But that of your parents, closest friends, probably the person you love most too. You hurt everyone.
Think about that before opening the third beer.
I'm glad to hear that you're getting help. As MErika said, although I don't minimise the role of the institutions and counseling, the key element is you. Use everything you can to keep control. The fact that you've alreaady taken steps to prevent this is more than encouraging...
