If you are using Internet Explorer (you really shouldn't):
View->Toolbars->Address Bar

If you are using Firefox:
View->Toolbars->Navigation ToolBar

IE offers an option to lock the toolbars, you might want to click on that.

Thanks Dogula.

Here's a link to an alternate web browser that you may want to give a try Stone:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

A lot of people like to use it because it has far less vulnerabilities than IE currently does. It'll be interesting to see how secure it really is when it's popularity is anywhere near that of IE but for now it is more secure. I personally prefer the way Firefox downloads in comparison to IE as I've never lost or had a dl lock up on me in Firefox but it happens all the time in IE.

So you lost access to your onboard sound card, well it's prolly a POS anyway so you can always buy another one that will run circles around your current one for less than $100 USD.

Onboard soundcard is the soundcard that came as part of your motherboard, there quite often pretty crappy IMO.

oh okay. i know what you're talking about now. i agree. they are crappy. in fact, anything like that that does come attached to the motherboard is crappy.

couldn't she just go and buy a real soundcard and put it in? i would think she can do that. it's pretty simple to do and not too expensive. I like the sound blaster brand. i never had a problem with mine.

That's kind of what I was getting at it my first post. I too like Soundblaster and have an Audigy 2 which is a good card and very reasonably priced.

Ya it's pretty user friendly and easy to install. Plus much of the gaming software recognizes the EAX console and the additional sound settings with Soundblaster Cards so you really can't go wrong with purchasing one IMO.
