Whoa, short summer for them. The kids here return as Animal said, after the last long weekend of the summer.
They are selling back to school supplies though and there's sales everywhere.

Talking about back to school supplies....I've spent a fortune on that stuff. I can't believe each teacher wants their OWN set of things. The lists go on and on. I bought $30 before school started and another $20 today and we aren't done yet.
The only good part is that last week was 'no sales tax' week in Florida for anything pertaining to school....including clothes. I saved due to that.

I thought you worry less about boys when in high school as compared to girls.

the kids can't start school on the 3rd because that's a saturday. I think they start on the 6th or 7th this year.
I haven't even started with the shcool stuff yet. I will start buying the supplies and clothes this month though so she's all ready for september.
I will miss kassandra when she goes back to school because she truly is a huge help with erika and the housework. it'll be back to me doing everything. I won't be able to just go and do what i need to do and leaving the baby at home with her. at least i got a bit of a break.

Boys can be just as expensive as girls or more clothes wise anyways. Especially when it comes to shoes a name brand like Nike, REEBOX, K Swiss ect can cost up to $80.00 and boys go thru shoes quick.. Luckily NOah still like walmart shoes with spiderman on them for 20 bucks.
But even when shopping for Greg I notice that men's clothes are much more than ladies clothing. :?
Do you buy your children name brands? Do your children ask for name brands?

Jackson doesn't care so much about the clothes...but the shoes have to be name brand. Wearing 'bo-bo' shoes isnt' acceptable. Chloe doesn't care at all either way.
Then again....we live in an area where kids hand down their out grown stuff to their friends and no one cares. I really think it depends on where kids live and who they hang out with as to how much they will even know name brands. It's one of the nice things about being trailor trash...HAHAHA!

I live in a friggen snob fest.. I hate it, but we're moving to the country soon.
We have ROSS and MARSHALLS here that is a discount name brand store I don't mind spending money there for myself or Noah because it's like 50% off. My in-laws are much diffrent though they bought me a Coach Diaper bag just so I wouldn't embarass them when they are around it's retarded

I can't see how boys cost as much as gals, we don't really care what we look like. At least that used to be the case. I do remember shoes were always important but not too sure about the rest of the wardrobe.

My kids feel lucky to go to WalMart! HAHA!
I wasn't kidding when I said at the first of each summer I take Jackson and a couple of his buddies to the big Salvation Army store in Jacksonville. We load up on $2 T-shirts for all the guys.
