Are you sure it's not the fault of your Internet Service Provider?

Do you get any error messages when the computer goes offline?

First....disconnect everything manually. Wait 30 seconds and hook it back up. This has worked for me on more than one occcasion.
If it doesn't work....call your service provider while you are online. Let them go thru all your settings with you and see if something has been corrupted. If your computer is working and you can get online....then it's just a setting somewhere that got messed up.
It could actually be a small thing which you just need some technical help with. They are very good at walking you thru the steps.

I was telling Larry what you said about your puter probs. He said if your son was on Nick, Jr...it's possible some of the parental/safety locks got goofed with. Go check your security settings.

Well...you make fun of what you consider my 'stupid spam' posts....when, in fact, I DID say what was probably wrong on a previous post on this thread. I'm not always goofy....sometimes I make sense. HAHA!

I understand what it did but it obviously fixed an easy setup or cofig. error. Essentially, we learned nothing from this issue which is a bit of a shame. For many of us, system restore simply isn't an option due to all the new files being added regularily as well as overall system changes.

I think there are sites out there which screw with your settings. I could be wrong though because I'm not all that computer literate.
