It's not a car or a plane... it's a TOY! LOL! I don't know....if it got popular...I'm sure there would be restrictions as to where they could be flown and who would be allowed to operate it. So much for freedom.
They're probably under the same classification as ultralights, so you probably just need a recreational pilot's license to fly it.

It's a toy that a person can fly. If a person can fly it then a person can crash it too. If a person can crash it, they can crash it on a bus full of kids or take someones head off with the rotor. It does look cool but a huge swinging prop is still dangerous.
