One of the projects I've wanted to start on for well over a year now has been to create a comprehensive, issue repository (dictionary, thesaurus, faq, encyclopedia, link directory, etc.). Essentially, lifesupporters.com would have an alphabetized menu system somewhere on the main site and each letter would open up a categorized list of issues and sub-issues such as:
The best part is that we can discuss all these issues in our forums which I believe, could help bring the topic out in the open for people suffering from said afflictions. Even if it doesn't get people talking, it does put the resources at their fingertips and it's all about helping people right?
Lastly, we'd all build it via discussion forum so we all have a part in it and we all learn from it as a side effect. I'm not asking for anyone’s help but if you consider that a reply is possible content for the Wiki, the project actually builds itself.
I'd also like to credit those who had a part in helping to build this via forum posts in the footer of each and every article page.
I think its a fantastic idea and I don't think I've ever seen everything in one place such as this and as comprehensive. I do believe it will help set us apart from all other interpersonal sites online and can really benefit many people in need all in one place.
I'm open to any and all input on this project so please feel free to voice all your questions, comments or concerns.
