Issue Discussion Forum

At this time, I'm not sure if this will be a temporary forum or a permanent forum but for now, we'll use it to discuss all issues we'll be adding to the Issue Dictionary (or whatever it will be called).

UPDATE: The custom usergroups won't work because everytime someone else wants to join in the conversation, it means I have to update all forum input manually. Once we go through all the main issues and start tackling the sub-issues, this will not be a small task at all.

The only system that makes sense is that we continue discussing this as we would in any other forum and I'll edit the original post. I do ask though that you not add or edit your own posts because editing a post does not count it as a new entry, just an edit on an existing entry and as such, no new topic icon appears.

I've since dropped the color idea and custom usergroups because it becomes a logistical nightmare.

Also, we'll have to re-think this entire forum format because by the time we're done, we'll have approx. 26 main issue categories (possibly way more) and each main category will require its own sub-categories for specific issue discussion.

This translates to a minimum of one main forum with 26 child forums with immeasurable amounts of child - child forums. All this content cannot simply be archived because what I've seen so far is awesome and I don't want to lose it.

So now what I'm asking is what do we name the main forum? Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Whatever name that we choose for the main forum category will be the name used for our issue dictionary (or whatever it's called) so they can cross link each other.

All sub-categories are now setup with A, B, C, and D being the only active categories at this time. The other forums will be opened up as we move forward but for now, we have a lot of ground to cover with just these 4 categories alone.

I'm starting to wonder if my 2 year estimate was a bit too optimistic.
