Most important thing is to enjoy your time. It helps with learning, it helps you make certain your mom and dad don't lose all their hairs (), and it helps you with learning: you learn much and easily.

As a parent, my only goal is to ask each day how school was and what they did. Usually everything follows from that. As a teacher my goal is simply to be better then I was the year before or the day before or the class before.

For myself: Finishing my overdue Dissertation

For my older daughter: helping her enjoy herself, gain in confidence and be proud of standards less than perfection

My younger daughter seems to breeze through life on a HUGE supply of cuddles, so I'll just keep giving those I guess

Hmmm... then the big question is: what are you going to do when she wants that to stop?

Enjoy school. Look forward to every day even if you know there will be an issue. Realize that you will always have at least one teacher who you don't like but still try your best and most of all, do not be afraid to ask for help. Get to know your teachers and ask them for aid if you are having problems. They are there to help YOU. If they don't know you are having issues then it is YOUR fault. They aren't mind readers. Always do your best even when it seems hopeless. Remember that education is the most important part of your life. You may not remember all the dates and every equation but you will have learned how to learn. You will be able to research and find the answers you need because you learned how to learn. Also, realize that not everything has a correct answer. Some things take experience to know but you will have gained the tools to get that experience.
