Wish me luck!!!
I got a call today telling me that I go for orientation for a job that I want on wednesday at 10 am!!! I'm sooooo excited!!!
This job will pay $10.25 for 3 weeks (that's when the training ends) then will raise my wage a little after that and will get full benefits after 3 months! All i do at this job is answer the phone and give customers information on services offered and entering all info in a computer. Easy as pie!!
I haven't really started job searching yet and now i really don't have to! WOOHOO!!
wish me luck!!

Wow....THAT was fast! I'm sure you are just thrilled. Now you'll have an excuse to finally go buy a few clothes just for yourself and lock 'em up so no one can take them.
(This statement will mean nothing to any of you unless you've raised a teenage daughter................ )

I thought fashion-wise the last person on the face of the planet a teenager wants to be identified with would be her mother.

One would think................
I found my favorite NEW white top with the satin piping in Chloe's room with St Patrick's Day leaves drawn all over it with a green cloth marker. I guess she couldn't find anything green to wear that day to school. :?
I have no heels left that aren't scuffed or broken.
I never can find my make-up.

Speaking of clothes Star....are you going to buy something special for the interview?

Congrats Star on your job. I hope it works out well for you.
My daughter also has "borrowed" my clothes. Only specific ones but usually the ones I also like the most. We have an understanding now!

my kids have gone into my closet to borrow some clothes (skirts, blouses), make-up going missing and shoes without asking. it's so aggravating isn't it?
merika, the t-shirt thing, my kids have done that same thing with some of mine. the one t-shirt was brand spanking new!! didn't even get to wear it once!! :x
the beauty of having daughters.

That sucks. --> the joys of having boys , who would not come up with the idea to loan a few of their mom's clothes.

well, it went okay. I got an interview and i think i did pretty good in it.
How it will work is on May 29th, it's a 2 week co-op thing where they teach you everything you need to know about the company and where to get the answers to questions that clients will be calling about. the company is called Convergys. i haven't heard a nasty thing about this company as of yet, all good things. I have to learn everything there is to know about cell phones.
then, after this 2 weeks of co-op is done, then i get onto their payroll and they train me for another 3 weeks before they put me on the phones. so, i won't be actually starting until mid june or shortly after that.
the benefits start 3 months into the job but, they start counting the 3 months from the first day of the co-op which is the 29th of may wich is a very good insentive.
they give us 2 raises a year and the raise depends on your job performance. there are no signority value there, it's all about job performance.
they will also pay for tuition if you want to take some online courses to upgrade your knowledge and acquire certificates. plenty of room for advancement also to those who are deserving.
The hours i would be working are from 1:30pm to 10:30 - 11:00 | |
