Why am I up at 2am you ask?
Well for starters I don't have to work tomorrow. Why? Because ye ol' company cannot afford to pay me. Whup-a-dee-do. This sucks. They owe me $1600 minus taxes and I am flat broke with bills coming due. Need to fork out over $700 in less than a week and I have no money. I'm slightly ticked off right now...What the hell do I do?

Can't collect unemployment...Haven't worked legally since last year (under the table in the states). I'm looking for jobs now, but so far they are just general labour or minimum wage stuff that I swore I would never do again.

weiser, I know that this is the last thing that anyone would want to do but, you could go to welfare and get a cheque to help you stay on your feet until you find another job. within a few days, you'd have money to pay your bills and buy some food.
it bites when companies don't pay. I know much too well how that feels since hubby's into construction.
I hope you find another job very soon weiser.

Unfortunately, welfare doesn't apply to men unless you have children. Once I got hurt on the job and it took labor and industries 4 months to process my claim. So I went to the welfare office in the meantime and was told point blank, "welfare does not apply to men, unless they have children". By the time I got my L and I check, I was already back to work.

Yeah if I was still in Banff where eveyone is a skinny punk sure. I'm in windsor now and the bouncers are MASSIVE.
I applied at worlwide IT firm with the Canadian headquarters that is located in Windsor. They are looking for a Sales and Account Management Assistant and I am qualified. Here's hoping I get it...

Indeed Weiser. Hope the best. It sucks when you are out of money because of the incompetence of others.

I agree with Star, I would definitely try the Welfare system first; they can't let you starve. I don't think that applies to B.C. Actually, it's been said that B.C. has the most liberal Welfare system in the Country...but that doesn't help you, Weiser, you're not here...

Since you live at home and have no disabilites....I doubt you would get anything. Just take a chump job until you decide what you want to do.
