At least the jobs you guys qualify for are in specific markets. It may take awhile to get just the right one....but then you are set.
Unlike myself, who qualifys for nothing of any particular importance. I can usually get a job in 3 days.

DA, I'm SURE you got the job. You seem overqualified, IMHO, so they'd be idiots not to take you.
My advice to you is to wait until tommorow morning and call them around 10:00 AM. I'll drink a glass of wine to your success tomorrow !!!

I think Twinks could easily get a VISA without marriage....but it was a nice offer!
Geez Twinks....it's not a bad idea. We hire more foreign people than Americans anyway!

Thanks a LOT, Merika.
If I see that I cannot a decent job around here, I'm willing to start from scratch somewhere else. I'll have to, anyway .

I got a verbal offer, i get th ewritten one tomorrow and im gonna take it. The offered what i asked for, i was hoping they would go higher...but i wont complain with $34,000, though its hourly at $16.50 so i can work overtime and earn more. Plus i get 2 weeks vacation first year which is good.

GOOD DEAL DA! Are you going out to celebrate? I sure would! In being able to stay in Oklahoma....it's like twice the salary considering the low cost of living there. You'll be able to afford a really great place!!!!
Unlike Twinks....who, if she made that amount in Paris, would have to live in a box on the sidewalk. LOL!

Congratulations DA, it seems a good offer, and the low prices in Oklahoma definitely help. Although the remark about 2 weeks vacation in a year, strikes as odd for many Europeans, who are used to 6 or 7 weeks.

Provided of course she has enough money to bribe the authorities in the cities to get in fact permission to live in a box.
In some cities and areas, prices are crazy.

yeah im going out tomorrow night prolly. At first i thought they were paying me less cause i miscalculated the hours a year X hourly wage. Yeah living is so cheap out here, i could get a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place and pay for utilities for less then a $1000, and thats in downtown, if i stay in th esuburbs it would be like $750.
In the US usually jobs give zero vacation the first year and then add a week after that.
