Waiting TAbles
OK My insurance/ financial services business is completely flopping right now, I actually meet with a guy today who wants to save 17K in 5 years but DOESN"T HAVE ANY FRIGGEN MONEY!! so he wasted my time. and my Dog cart will not be up untill Febuary!!!
I will be waiting tables at a restaurant similar to Lonestar starting tonight I REALLY REALLY hate being a waitress to me that is the most painful thing and I really feel like I am failing at my goals :?
But if I don't do something PDQ the kids will have a pretty crappy X Mas and I won't be able to pay my share of the bills. i am upset because I really haven't struggled like this since Noah was a baby. and I am a TERRIBLE waitress
I'll let you know how I did after my shift

Good Luck Stone. So long as you don't dump something hot on their laps or put b00gers in their food, everything should be OK.
I used to love being a waiter provided I was working at a good steakhouse because you'd always rake in a killing. Of course now that I'm older I can't be bothered to clean up after others.

2 hours? must of been a hell of a place to work.
I waitressed when i was younger and used to make a killing in tips. of course, since i had krystal, i stopped working. i don't think i'd like to waitress anymore. not my cup of tea. the things you have to put up with sometimes being a waitress, not worth the aggravation.

I've been in food service for YEARS started bussing when I was 12 I've waited tables, bartended, and now I'm a dining rm manager It has it's ups and downs but I think it's about finding your groove
Think about when you go out to eat The server can MAKE your experience A perfect stranger can be kinder and funnier for one meal than many of your closest contacts I think servers have a greater impact than anyone actively realizes
Let me know if you'd like some tips to help. Exactly what are your probs? The tables? Other people you work with? The food? Everyone has their weak spot I'd be happy to try to help if I can. It really is a great way to make $ esp thru the holidays.

I fell in love with the man who is now my husband when I was a very, very young and naive waitress! I guess I was one of the fortunate ones; my very first job, was on my own for the first time, scared as h*ll, no self-esteem, and the wonderful Man who hired me was so good to me...even when I was giving refills to the "man I love" for nothing! Even the gentle soul who was my Boss called me aside and said, "Luba, I AM trying to make a profit here." I think a refill cost nothing then, but I took it to a little extreme!

I've never waited tables. It's not that I have anything agains it. I just don't have the personality to do it. I have friends who make some serious cash in tips doing so.
I'd get pissed when somone complained and tell them to get it themselves.
That's why I do collections.

Never waited tables, don't think I would want to. After working at McDonald's for 7 years, I hate everything food industry related.

Never - I am not suited for any job in which I have to shut up in order to please someone. No waiting for me, and no regular office job either.

People rarely complain just for the sake of complaining Anyone who recognizes truth is ok saying "sorry your foood is cold I'll be right back w/something else for you"
Most people go out to have fun. Don't get in the way of fun and you'll succeed. It's easy.
