It all sounds just great DA! I'm so happy for you in every way! You've worked hard thru school and now it's time for you to enjoy a few financial rewards from all that. I bet in the near future you'll be seeing your personal life making many changes as well. (Mom's know these things... )

And you should! Enjoy yourself! One day you'll be married with kids and spending money on yourself will only be a fond memory. 8)

Typical Boy Toy! Do you know how to drive a boat? That would be great to have in OK and explore all the lakes and rivers.

You can't swim? Were there no compulsory swimming lessons in the US, when you were in (elementary) school?

Funny never thought of that.

Oddly enough, after Pearl Harbor with so many sailors just drowning because they couldn't swim, the Navy started making swimming lessons mandatory. They are not mandatory in the school system.

Most people's swimming capabilites will depend on where they live in the USA. Coastal states are big swimmers....those in the middle often are not. Some northern states don't have weather that makes it financially worth it to own a family pool.
