Actually the show wouldn't have been that bad if it wasn't for his pals BJ and Baby Bop.

I did hear an interesting story one about an incident that happened when they were taping an episode of Barney one day. Apparently, the fan inside the Barney suit shorted out and caught fire once so the guy wearing the suit was running around cursing and yelling while beating about his head.

I guess seeing Barney run around in a different voice beating himself in the head with smoke coming out his ears was too much for some of the kids to handle because it landed some of them in therapy.

Of course what happened to the kids isn't funny but I'd give anything to have seen his head catch fire.
