OMG, I'm sorry for taking the wrong direction on this one. I'll be watching the News and praying for you!

Re: Time Warp
Ah not such a biggie. Lots of rain and a lil wind. Not much we can do about it but not an evacuation situation like hurricanes can be.
Just hope no trees fall and flooding is minimal. Otherwise- just kind of a pain.
I wish I was at the beach though- seeing those awesome waves coming in right now!!!!!!!!

Re: Time Warp
It could be great, but it would be a disaster if the storm is bigger than anticipated.
I remember one trip to the South East coast of South Africa. Weather was not too great, there was quite a bit of storm. No major damage though. A couple of months later another storm hit, and it was a bit bigger. Whole coastal area, and developments were a complete write-off.

Re: Time Warp
We're used to them here. Don't get me wrong- it's still sad when people have property damage but you rarely hear of deaths in our area do to these storms. We've been spanked by hurricanes and tropical storms in the past but still nobody panics and we just muddle on through.
I remember when I was little being very scared for the men in my family. A lot of people here still make their living on the water- so they would head out in storms to make sure their boats stay safe.
It was worrisome but again- I've never heard of anyone even doing that getting hurt or killed.

Re: Time Warp
I will be flying into Boston via Charlotte, NC tomorrow. I am more concerned about my flight into Boston actually. And then there is Ike. He is a major storm and it is predicted he will enter the Gulf of Mexico by Monday or Tuesday. I fly home on Friday probably just in time to evacuate. I will be watching it all.

Re: Time Warp
Sorry to hear you hurt your foot. Hope it isn't serious. It is about a quarter to 3 in the afternoon here. Watching Spider Man, the first movie. Think I will put in a chick flick next.

Re: Time Warp
12:55 p.m. Hope your foot heals quickly, WN!
I've done quite a bit of housework and all laundry, so I will borrow TKDLady's plan and watch an English movie I taped.
