I actually wrote a ginormous introductory post that touched on everything from Ron Paul to the Council of Trent to the Psychedelic Furs. Fortunately I forgot to click on the "remember me" button...so that epic went to the server in the sky. Yes, I got logged out.
Which I've now concluded is a good thing, else I doubtless would be thought of as an escapee from an Umberto Eco novel.
As to the rest of it, I was giving the kid lunch and generally chasing him around the house. When I had a sec I was popping in to read a thread. Figured I'd post when I had a minute. This thread kinda forced my hand. Ripped me away from Teletubbies (wish I was kidding, but I'm not.)
Briefly, since I've already made one attempt at a War and Peace type introduction and I'm not really in the mood for another...I'm a married middle-aged white guy who drinks too much coffee, doesn't watch what he eats, and follows the Boston Red Sox. Dunno what other labels apply to me. Paleolibertarian? Radical agnostic?
Beyond that, this looks like kind of an interesting place. I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to post here, in all honesty. The moderation seems a bit more strict than what I'm used to, but I'd like to give it a shot. Besides, I can usually suss out if I think I'm going to fall afoul of a particular board's ToS, and typically walk before I'm made to run. The libertarian (small "l" intentional) part of me means I scrupulously respect other's property rights. Or try to, given that I'm as fallible as the next guy.
