The "Gratitude" Game
I am watching a PBS Special on Happiness and Gratitude right now and heard that only 15 minutes of happy thoughts could change lesions in your brain. How Amazing is that?
SO, folks, let's get Happy through Gratitude!
Here are the rules:
(1)You MUST commit to this game if you intend to play at all
(2)Every day in your post list three things that you were grateful for that day. If you, for some reason, cannot post in the evening for a day, post them next day for previous day and write the date that you are posting for
(3)If you miss a few days, you MUST make up for days you missed. Example: Say you missed three things today, that means you must get six things for tomorrow.
Let's at least try it and by the end of the week, see how much happier you feel and post it.
Something as fleeting as seeing a butterfly or dew on a rose; the colour of the Autumn leaves, a smile brought to your face for a happy thought; anything as little or as big as you want.
PLEASE, no Negative comments here, please! No ridiculing anyone's Gratitude; this is just for happiness!
Who wants to start?
Addendum: You don't necessarily have to stop at three!

Re: The "Gratitude" Game
Okay, I'll start then:
(1) The phone call between my Son and me.
(2) Finding the "Happiness For No Reason" Special by accident.
(3) Watching the Jets game; my husband doesn't like Football but watched part of it with me and cracked me up with his hilarious comments.

Re: The "Gratitude" Game
(1) the looks one of my parents' cat gives. She defines cuteness.
(2) sorting out a holiday with my gf
(3) the remainder of the Murray-Nadal match. Great match!

Okay, Pepsi, we'll let you go for now, but you have to try to come up with five tomorrow and I KNOW you can do it. With your love of capturing Beauty in photography, you probably can find tons of things in all you do! It's 3 per day when you play this game, or make up for the ones missed the next day.
It will get easier and easier! I've had a Gratitude Journal and then just started Writing, and there is SO much to be grateful for when you mindfully start looking!

Now, if you post two pics of Gin, that will do.
I love cats.

So does that mean you are one up for tomorrow, or are just addending (Luba always makes up words) for today?

Re: The "Gratitude" Game
1) Cuddles in bed with my babes
2) Love letter in my email
3) PMs
4) Talking to an old friend I don't see much anymore as she has moved to Glasgow (and seeing her laugh on Skype)
5) Amusement at Luba's post (started to explain why but it's too complicated! )

As long as people feel good about at least three things, that's the bottom line! I guess I should have just said that instead of my complicated and random approach!

Re: The "Gratitude" Game
I'm in.
Today's Gratitude Items:
1. I live close enough to my folks to visit often these days.
2. I had enough white wine worcestershire sauce to make my favorite chicken marinade for the rotisserie chicken.
3. A lovely blanket of fog is forming over Marin County meaning some blessed coolth is on the way.
