A dear old lady was asked what she used to make her complexion so beautiful and her whole being so bright and attractive.
She answered:

Just out of curiosity, are you able to continue being kind and generous even if the target of your generosity is abusing it?
Personally I try to kill with kindness but there is most definitely a limit and then I'm a wall afterword (wish I wasn't).

Teaching people to abuse others is not kindness. Enabling may FEEL like love but very rarely is.

I don't mean teaching others to abuse I was referring to people that take advantage of your kindness (or maybe this is what you meant?).

That is abuse.
Indulgence in bad behavior is abuse IMHO
Allowing such things to occur is it's own form of abuse.
Not everyone will allow someone to walk over them- by not showing that to someone you care for you are setting them up for MAJOR set backs by not teaching them appreciation, problem solving, etc....

I used to allow this person in my life to walk all over me simply because I felt sorry for this person in the past and felt it may be their only form of self expression. It got ugly one day and I finally put my foot down (which only made the situation uglier).
After a few weeks this person did see the err of their ways and our relationship has been much improved since.
Of course I refuse to take crap at any level from this person now regardless of circumstances.
