I LOVE them! So GLAD this is happening...

I want to find a video on the Internet of their song "When It's Love"! My youngest son used to play it all the time when he was still at home, and it makes me cry with memory of my boys at home. "Every Breath You Take" by the Police does that to me too, as Duke used to play the album when he was still at home; such heartfelt memories.

ecchhtt, not again.

The last time this happened it didn't work out because DLR couldn't put together one song without something like 30 takes.

I think Van Halen should just invest their money wisely so we don't have to hear them butcher the good memories they left us with back in the day. There's too many of these old dopers getting back together and smearing all the hard work they did to become famous in the first place.

No, DLR is a mess from years of drug abuse and is too much of a goof to commit to anything. I think all he's going to do is make a mockery out of this reunion tour and kill what little remaining fan base Van Halen has remaining.

Well we'll see but I remember how adamant Eddie was the last time this happened. It all came to a head when they tried to record a few studio demos and DLR just couldn't complete anything without several takes.

BTW, I thought DLR was supposed to be Howard Sterns replacement, what happened to that?

lol, figures. I guess I could have looked for myself but to be perfectly honest, I don't really care all that much.

As much as I loved Van Halen back in the day, I'm not a rabid fan to dig deep into my pocket book and relive the memory of them. A lot of bands have been performing these geriatric reunion tours and they never capture the aura of what it was like to see them when they were young and nuts.

For whatever reason, young and nuts is fun to be in a stadium environment with thousands of other rabid and partying fans but old and nuts is just plain creepy.

I would have loved to see the Police reunion though but those tickets were priced somewhere in the upper stratosphere.
