Default Paris Hilton released from jail

Just wondered if a "hot topic of the day" could be started by anyone who wants to discuss something important instead of just in "Off topic" where it might me lost....I would like to discuss why Paris Hilton was let out of jail before her term was up...

Paris Hilton out of jail - CNN.com

I watched the video and wondered "what medical issues that they can't discuss"?

BBC NEWS | Entertainment | Paris Hilton sent back to prison

Thank Buddha, that she will have to do the full 45 days in jail now.

Supposedly she was not eating her food / developed a rash.

Claustrophobia has also been mentioned (mind you, her cell is about 100 sq. meters (1,000 sq. feet).

Can we not do this in The World Around Us or are you asking for a separate forum?

BTW, Paris Hilton is an idiot, she deserves to have her sentence lengthened if you ask me.

I think a separate forum would be nice because members/non-members would see it right away and maybe contribute more....at least it would get us talking and give our opinions more. I think "hot topic" is itself a hot grabber as opposed to the "world around us"...JMHO.

Furthermore, anyone that has something they've seen on Television or read about and feel deeply about it would post it there....I hope!

As soon as I saw the topic I thought of Paris Hilton. Why in the he11 does she and those like her get so much attention? My husband was talking about it on the way to work and I wanted to shout "Stop". She IS an idiot and she should never have been let free for even a second. Having money shouldn't give you special privileges when it comes to the law. She just needs to suck it up and do her time. She is 26 or 27 years old. Old enough to grasp reality. I would be an extremely happy person if I never heard her name again.

The sad part is I knew more about her then the shuttle launch that happened tonight. In fact, I was surprised when I saw the shuttle take off. I admit I don't read the newspaper too much nor do I watch TV too much less watch the news but I am on the internet enough for the shuttle launch to be more of a news article then Paris. I don't recall seeing anything about it. Sad.

I can make it as a sub-forum under the World Around Us but please keep in mind that only members can respond within our forums. Due to past abuses, non-members are granted only moderate view access privileges and no post access whatsoever until they register/confirm registration.

I cannot ever risk thousands of pr0n, hate, racial, warez and nefarious links like what occurred at gamemoviemaking.com, fragtard.net and international-gathering. Clean up took over a month and as such we will never allow unregistered input in anything other than poll voting anywhere within the network.

She gets attention, because the idle life is an ideal (mostly because of idiotic work), and there is no better example than Paris Hilton.

She shouldn't be front page news however. She is next to nothing in the scheme of things but because the media hovers over her that is all you hear. I was looking at the news topics at yahoo and her story is before the shuttle launch. She should be the last page of the news if there at all.

But the same applies to so many news items.

Have you heard in the US that the UK ministry of Defence allegedly paid $3 billion in bribes for an arms deal with Saudi-Arabia?

im really glad shes been sent back to prison. i mean god forbid if your blonde and have a bit of money its fine to go commit a crime?! id like to see that one work over here!

People die because of people like her. drink driving, then driving while banned? she really does make blondes seem stupid. she ought to count herself lucky that shes only been jailed for 45 days for a minor(ish) crime.....if she hadnt of been caught she could of gone on to kill someone driving around like a lunatic, then she'd be in jail for a lot longer!

her pathetic attention seeking is driving me up the wall, crying, refusing to eat, making herself sick and then telling a prison officer she felt suicidal?! all publicity stunts to try and make people feel sorry for her. Her PR/PA probbaly told her to do all this to get the media attention and try and get out early. good thing theres a judge out there with a brain and her little plan has backfired. Shame on her!
