Dr. Gary Levy criticized the new rules for zeroing in on gay men. He says the federal regulations should have referred to high-risk behaviour other than zeroing in on the high-risk group.

I hate all the politically correct crap and probably they are more prone to the high risk behavior but if they listed other high risk groups then I don't have a problem with it. Sometimes you have to spell it out for some people. I think a list for donors should be explicit and not hand wave over someone because it might hurt their feelings. That is just my opinion.

Are those groups that are most likely to engage in needle practices (cocaine and similar crap) also excluded? I would not even be surprised if some of the viruses (AIDS and others) were predominantly spread by heterosexual people. It seems that AIDS is predominantly a heterosexual disease in the US these days. Which is begging the question, why are not heterosexuals excluded?
