How could they not take him seriously just by those two quotes alone...especially since we've read about all the previous tragedies...

well the students may have not known about the fact he suffers from a mental illness. no doubt however the teachers did. but again cant go locking up everyone who has a mental problem.

and the students warned the headteacher repeatedly, so they couldnt of done any more, had they tried to take on the young man by their selves they could of been killed.

it is lucky no innocent people were killed this time. i feel sorry in a way for the young man who did this, he must of hated life so much. its sad it had to come to this for him.
