Default Worst PMS ever

Ok, I'm gonna be clear about this: it is NOT a thread for men. But if you dare read, it will give you a very close look into what it takes to be woman !

I have finished my internship on June, 30th. Last month was extremelly tough, so I had my period 2 weeks earlier. Stupid silly me, I decided not to take my pill until the end of the month, because all my organism was messed up. So I stopped the pill.

Ok, a month passes by and I start feeling funny. I felt my ovaries all inflamated and a bit sore. And then, one day, I have my period. In the afternoon, I had the worst pain one could ever imagine. I couldn't stand my clothes on me, and absolutely NO analgesic at home. everything I did hurt, I tried laying on my bed and that on the floor.

After a while, the pain became less intense, I managed to get dressed, went to the pharmacy and got me some painkillers. I was to the point of calling an ambulance when the painkillers kicked in.

Do you think it's a hormonal imbalance? Or what?

I've had had pains like that before, I was in highschool and I wasn't on the pill...

It took me 3 days to be better and 5 days after that I still felt nautious. Other than telling me to see a doc, do you have something to tell me about what happened to me? Did this ever happen to you?

Thanks a lot.

Not taking the pills regularly, which actually decreases menstrual pain, has apparently thrown your body into someplace you wish it wasn't . Other than calling a doctor for some higher powered pain pills there probably isn't much you can do but ride it out and hope you can stabilize it next month. Have you considered doing the arm shot for 3 months at a time so you don't have to fool with taking the pills daily?

I'm thinking abot visiting my doc anyway. I hate taking pills nad I like putting hormones into my body even less.

I'm thinking doing an exam to make sure i don't have any cysts and stuff. I still am sore, goddamit  !

i used to get pain like that all the time when i was younger until i had my kids. i still had pain after the kids but not to the point of laying in a fetal position on a floor. I still have cramps and sometimes they're bad, other times they're not. I had pains whether i was on the pill or not.

I think your body is adjusting to not being on the pill. give it a couple months and see what happens. in the meantime, keep some menstrual pain pills handy.

You think so???

I've just read an article about ovarian cysts... made me shiver. It's what made me decide to go see the doc early in the morning.
