Wish me luck
Tomorrow (thursday 13th) I have to go into hospital for an operation - nothing too major as its just to look for something thats causing me a great deal of pain.
However due to where and what the operation involves it is pretty worrying.
As for the operation itself its Laparoscopic Surgery
As im terrified of hospitals i start a course or sedation pills later so i'll probably appear to be drunk for a while till i get a little sleep.
i'll be back friday i think - i'll be home asap after the operation on the same day because i refuse to stay in a hospital. but im going to probably need to sleep and wont want to move for a while. but if i can i'll post to let you know how it went.
im off all the way upto the 23rd, back to work on the 24th, so i'll be around to post and chat more often for a while
wish me luck

Re: Wish me luck
I hope you get some rest afterwards, and hope you cope with everything well.
It really is pretty basic stuff no need to worry yourself =)

Re: Wish me luck
im suppose to be in bed - but been there nearly 3 hours and i wanted to come say hi.
the operation went as well as an operation can go, they found a few problems, but no real cause for the pain ive been suffering daily.
could mean doing this all again - i dont think so - either way in a great deal more pain now, phyiscally (obviously) and mentally/emotionally.
im having to do most things with my left had which is kinda difficult coz my mouse is on my right, due to the drip that went into my right hand.
i'll explain a little more later.
im alive tho (just about)
thanks for all your support, it really helped

Re: Wish me luck
Good to hear things went relatively ok GG, I hope it won't take too long for you to start feeling better. I'm hearing you about the hospital thing, I don't like them either, it's like one of the most unnatural surroundings there is (but ofcourse very good to have around at times).
I'm sorry to hear there wasn't a clear cause found for the pain you're going through, I hope you'll have more luck in the future
Good recovery!

Re: Wish me luck
took the bandages off about an hour ago - im not allowed to keep the wounds covered but now they are off im more the slightest thing that touches them and its very very painful! also i want to scratch them but i cant!
the only things i am struggling with is bending at all, i cant bend from the waist its far too painful so doing things like going up an down stairs is slow going, getting up and sitting/lying down isnt fun either and my poor cat doesnt understand why i havent picked him up for a cuddle.
aside from that and wanting to sleep 24 hours a day, i think im doing ok!
oh and ive lost my appetite to play games - which isnt the best time to do so!
