Re: Weight Issues and Support
When I exercise consistently, I buy more fruit and vegetables and pass right by the junk food aisle!
Exercise = Fruit, Vegetables, and drinking more water; for me anyway.
Anyone have any other tricks?

Re: Weight Issues and Support
Sooooo I've now broken 2 camping chairs - you know, the kind that come in the tubular bags. I'm starting to think that now it is NOT the chairs, but maybe I gotta lose a couple lbs haha. Thing is I still look like a skinny runt even though I'm pushing 220lbs. I don't get it!!!!

You are probably quite tall, so that really helps creating the image of being skinny.
But it is the chairs. They ain't made sturdy these days.

I think it's the chairs, too!
I plan to do some running, skipping, walking, or some form of strenuous work when we go camping in two weeks. Maybe, just maybe, I'll drop a couple of pounds!

Those camping chairs suck anyway, there stress tested by Keebler Elves or something because they can't even take the weight of a small cooler without creaking and moaning.
At 220 you'd need to be around 6' 5" or taller to not be overweight wouldn't you? Genetically speaking however some people just naturally carry weight well. I know people who look like their in fantastic shape but have absolutely no muscle tone, little strength and little stamina because their proportionate naturally.

I LOVE those Keebler Elves! They are SO adorable!

Ahhh, just finished exercising for an hour and feel on top of the world! Hope to remember to add this feeling to the "Joy" topic later today!

I'm skinny and I'm 6'2"....I don't know where my weight goes. I don't have a big arse nor do I have a gut. I look like I am in good shape, but I've only recently started going running. I don't go to the gym as often as I would like because I don't have anyone to go with.

Re: Weight Issues and Support
I'd go with you but I'm afraid seeing me sweaty will make you swing the other way (if you know what I mean).
I hate going to the gym even if I'm with a friend because Fitness World is full of posers anyway. I'd much rather work out at home but haven't done that much either due to furniture everywhere. Now that I have a bike coming I have some tough decisions because I'm actually going to start throwing out furniture around here so I can work out.

Re: Weight Issues and Support
Oh baby.
I can't work out at home really - there is no room what so ever. It's all hardwood flooring too so it's not like you could work out on carpet even. I did buy a skipping rope to work on my cardio, but i suck and keep hitting the back of my head.
If you've got the room then go for it! Toss some old furniture - I wish I could work out @ home.
