The Triathlete's Secret...
When I used to do triathlons, we used to have a joke that the only reason that we trained so hard is so we could eat like pigs and not gain weight.
When I was doing triathlons, I ate 6,000-8,000 calories a day and weighed 150 pounds with a 28 inch waist.
Now I eat like 2,000-3,000 calories a day, weigh 175 pounds and have a 32 inch waist. I work out everyday but it's not enough, I really have to watch what I eat. I know it's because a have a sedentary job, I need a construction job so I can eat more. Does anyone else struggle with their weight or is it just me?
I don't miss the long ocean swims, I don't miss the all day bike rides, I don't miss running and sweating in the hot desert...I miss being able to eat like a pig and get away with it.
I'm probably just writing this because it's almost lunch and I'm hungry.

I'm 6'2" 200lbs 34inch waist and I STILL look like a toothpick. It sucks and I eat so much. Need to find time to do some serious working out. I want to be big again, like I was during highschool football.

My weight is up and down and pretty much has been since my mid 20's after I started seriously working out and taking amino acids to compliment my efforts. I'm badly out of shape right now but I'll be picking up a new mountain bike this weekend so that should bring me back.

I'm doing the best I can at home with sit ups and crunches. I got 4 out of the 6 pack showing so far. Need to get to a gym though...My discipline is on vacation though.

I love excersizing (mainly biking), I can eat a ton, go bike, eat a ton more and not gain any weight!
It's awesome

That's exactly what I'm talking about, I used to be like that. Now I exercise alot but I still have to watch what I eat and I hate that. I do hundreds of crunches but I still don't have a perfect 6 pack. I need to lose like 10 more pounds and it's a struggle.

That could possibly be why, but I can notice a difference even when I don't excersize for a week or two.
I wasn't as active as I normally am for the last couple weeks, because of started school, and I didn't eat as much but I gained a little weight.
Alot of it depends on what you eat too, though.
If you ate a lot of mcdonald's and excersized alot it would be different than eating a lot of pasta(carbs = energy) then excersizing.

I barely exercise, and no matter how much I eat, I don't gain weight. The only exception to that has been the American food I have eaten in May. I still have not lost that 15 lbs, though.
