Unfortunately stress is a way of life for many of us. Some people are better at dealing with stress than others but those who are suffering from stress overload are actually doing so at the risk of their health. Some signs of too much stress are:
- feeling exhausted - forgetfullness - overreacting for little or no reason - depression - headaches and fatigue - digestive troubles If your unable to change your situation to alleviate stress then there are other things you can do to help deal with it. See here for the rest of the story published in MSN Family. |

I thought I could handle my stress pretty good but after seeing the signs you have here, I have them all right now. I guess I am stressed! I'm going to go and read your article to see what I can do to relieve the stress a bit. thanks duke!

NP star, I actually had my own problems with stress and it is one of the reasons I stepped down from my Supervisory role. It was getting so out of hand for me that nothing I ate sat in my stomach very well (at work only) as well as always feeling anxious and other symptoms. It's just not worth it.

I think i might still be feeling the stress of my last job as well. it was extremely stressful! that and what krystal's been putting us through in the past 3 years and having to decide what to do when she was pregnant... I guess I'm a little stressed out! What an eye opener! I need to de-stress myself. I think i'll talk to my doctor about that when I go in march for erika's second needle.
I have a hard time falling asleep and a hard time waking up. no problems falling asleep in the afternoons though! :? I do snap at the stupidest things, i always feel exausted, everything seems to be a chore these days including having a shower, getting dressed and going where i need to go (that's a sign of depression), and the biggy is how forgetful i've been I'd say in the past 2 years! it seems to be getting worst too. I deffinately have to do something to get rid of this stress. I really had no idea that i was stressed out this much. I really thought i was handling it well. WOW! i guess i was wrong.

It's kind of amazing if you step back and take a look at the bigger picture isn't it? Stress usually seems to build up over time so we deal with it as it happens eventually ending up at a breaking point. If it all happened at once it would prolly be easier to identify.

Well I'm sure these symptoms can be attributed to many factors other than stress. In my case I believe them all to have been stress related and dealt with the situation decisively. I can say that I've noticed improvement in my own state of mind since stepping down from my previous employment situation.

My life has been full of so much stress after having to raise two kids on my own ...emotionally, as well as financially, until I don't know what it would feel like not to have it. I look forward to the near future when I find out. I think there will be big changes made and we will all be much happier. It's been a long long road.........
Many times I've worked 15 days in a row at - 10 hours a day just to feed them. They did very well...considering how many responsibilities they've had to take on for themselves. They deserve a fabulous financial break...and so do I. |
