Strange Experiences
I wanted to write about some of the strange things that I've had happen over the past week since I've started this experiment. Now I'm a very normal guy and I don't get to excited about coincidence and such but some of the stuff that is happening is just plain strange and it's very interesting how it's coming about.
I've noticed a significant increase in my clarity of thought, coupled with an typing speed increase. Also I have had 2 lucid dreams and my mind just seems clearer and calmer. Ideas come quicker as does my ability to articulate and understand them. Maybe not a big deal to some, but a pretty damn good benefit for me I'm finding out!
When I wake up from naps, I'm immediately coming out of REM sleep and I'll have a lot of visuals and ideas in my head. They come so fast that as soon as I get up, I sit down and start writing. For example, yesterday morning I wrote down a list of about 10 things, it just that came flooding out of me and I wrote them as fast as I could, not thinking to overly hard about what each of them means until after. A few of the things were about a project I wanted to do, which I had started on a few days earlier to good effect but hadn't touched since. But one of the things I wrote down said "graph tree" which makes no sense other then this vivid image I had of something that I could only describe as that.
So later in the evening, I had a conversation with 2 friends seperately. They both had ideas for thier own individual projects. The first friend knew of one I had started and wanted to do something similar, with a twist. Later the second friend came over and he had a completely different idea that after some discussion, I told him how his idea and mine weren't that disimilar. We decided that with some modification, they could work together. After my friend left, I started working on the project in my head and how I could make them into "One Project To Rule Them All!" and I had a sudden rush of ideas. So I sat down with my legal pad and pen and wrote out a page and a half of blueprint to describe every aspect of this project and how it would work. It's an awesome idea by the way.
Later on, after I finished writing, I returned to my computer and started reading through some of the stuff I'd written from earlier in the day, including the "graph tree" and that's when I realized that this strange phrase was the core device I had just finished designing that would make these three projects work together. It was like I knew the answer before I had even asked myself the question. Whoa.
There's some other milder effects I want to get to but I'll discuss them in later posts, time to get some work done.
