Sleep patterns.
I've always had a problem sleeping and I'll be doing something about it this year. My question is, what sleep patterns do you all excercise and what makes you feel the most rested for the next day and throughout the week?

My sleep patern is pathetic. I don't get nearly enough sleep to function properly. I really don't know how I make it through the day. :?
Erika goes down for the night anywhere between 10 - 11 pm. You'd think I'd go to bed and sleep but nope. I stay up until 1 , 2 sometimes 3 in the morning watching TV or doing something on this computer. Truth is, I have a really hard time to fall asleep and an equally hard time to wake up in the morning. Once I'm up though, I'm ok for the day. I've been this way for a few years now. I refuse to take sleeping pills.

That pretty much describes the way I've been since childhood, the only problem now is that over this many years now, it's actually starting to take it's toll.

I have a bad habit of sleeping with the TV on...then waking up at 3:00 am and watching until close to time of me having to wake up with Isis at 5:00 am, not for very long - I just check on her, then back up with Sn00py at 7:00 am.
I don't get enough sleep either.....and truth is...it's one of the worst things you can do for your body. I read once where most depressions were caused by a lack of sleep and water. I believe it to be true.

I wouldn't be suprised. I too sleep with the TV on but I use the timer so it shuts itself off. If I were to try and sleep any other way then my brain starts going berserk with activity and I think way too much. I simply cannot sleep in dead silence because I think too much.

Would it help if you kept a project going in your head? Like building a business or a house or anything similar? I do that when I really need to go to sleep and don't want the tv on. It's the only way I can avoid thinking about bills and other stupid stuff.

That's the problem Merika, the thoughts going on in my head are all projects and possible life altering directions. I have way too many ideas to actually do anything useful with but I still put thought into them nonetheless for reasons I cannot explain.
Tomorrow nite I'm actually meeting with a couple of close friends with the possibility of starting up a business based off of one of the ideas. I'm not sure if we'll get anywhere but it looks like we all may want to give it a try. We'll see.

It's better to stay on one thought.....something real definitive...so your mind doesn't race all around on you.
GOOD LUCK with the meeting. Make sure and let us know how it goes.

I go to sleep between 9 and 10 and wake up between midnight and 3.
I've been drinking mugwort tea to help me sleep and now sometimes I sleep in till 4:30...
