Reaching your potential

Since there's no forum about professional life, I think this one shall do.

Do you fear that you might not be reaching your full potential? I feel that I have so much to give, to offer, to explore, to read... it's acking inside.

I hate the tought of ending up in a dead end job with no perspective or burried in the routine. I know some jobs are fulfilling in different ways: in some we interact with people and maybe change their lives, in others we sell our products, what we believe in and try to establish long trusting contacts. In others we simpl find out more about our society (like market research, etc)...

Life is just so amazing... I never want to stop searching.

Do you feel you've already got there? Are you also restless (or could it be that having no family or kids makes me think of saving the blue whales,

) ?

I'm not even sure what my full potential is. I know there's plenty of things I want to do but will likely never do because I lack motivation and time for many of the projects.

The thing is I've never had a job for more than a couple of months... that could explain my energy, I think.

It was more of a question like: "do you feel fulfilled?". I guess all I'm trying to do is to be in peace with myself. Hence the searching...

I am not reaching my full potential, i could be an A student, i just dont put the effort in, when i worked, i pushed myself very hard and was the best employee.

For you, i think you havnt found what you want yet, but at least you are looking.

I haven't reached my full potential and i don't think i ever will. That's because I chose to be a mom and sacrificed for my kids which is fine. I'm not regretting my choice by any means but the "what if" is there once in awhile.

Whenever I do get a job, I get bored quickly with it. I have to be busy and using my brain. My last job was good for that. I was always busy, making decisions, solving problems...it was a very good job for me but it kept me away from my kids too much. I guess I like being a mom at home, raising my kids more then i do working outside the home.

Life are full of choices. Life is what you make of it and you need to make it happen. Whatever your dream is, reach for it while you're young.

I think potential is what you hope for.....until life gets in the way. LOL!
This is why anyone rushing to get married or have children....may not reach their original plan....but they get another one in return....which can be equally as wonderful.

I so wish I were born in another country... but then I don't think I would have been the person that I am right now.

It's funny, but ever since I were a little girl, I knew I would be different. I just knew I would live somewhere else than my country.

Funny thing is, when the scholarship came along, I was almost "married", lol. I have the same feeling now. Don't ask me why, I just know I won't end up in this country

. It's not about reaching my potential, to me is a bit about what Star said: finding what makes me happy, what makes me fulfilled.

(P.S. Indeed, a full day of sleep does make wonders for ones moral)
