I woke up from a nap yesterday feeling refreshed and had a suddenly flow of thoughts about how a person living in this manner would live if say, this was the norm.
My bed is a queen size, large, uncomfortable and impracticle taking up over 1/3 of my room, when I only use it 2/3 of my naps. AND when I wake up, I have to stumble around to find the light switch, which turns on 4 halegon natural white lights. Wouldn't it be nice to have something that would light up slowly like a dimmer? But what's the alternative? Well at this time, there are a few things you can do, depending on how much you're willing to spend, from programs controlling lights and sound to sleeping on different surfaces or on chairs/couches. Let's pretend for a moment that money was no object, would you be as inclined to use the pod from MetroNap of NYC? http://www.metronaps.com/ ![]() It has slight vibrations and a light turns on slowly to wake you up from your nap, nice! I haven't found a cost on purchasing one of these yet although they do say on the site that you can lease one "for as little as $299 a month". Hmm, with a keyboard, LCD monitor and surround sound system mounted in there, I might be hard pressed to get out of it! |

Actually....it's VERY cool looking. Once the cost comes down....I think people will actually purchase them. |

![]() Ya I was thinking about it yesterday actually and I decided that since you're not actually sleeping for 8 hours a night, but instead it's 20 mins at a time, you'll probably not be sleeping together anyway. And when you're "sleeping" together, this will give you a chance to find some new and interesting places. Or you could just have a bed. :P |

Is that a pic of the actual vibration.....or is this what it does when your 20 minutes are up?

No it's just showing the 4 sleeping positions, it just vibrates gently when it's time to wake up and a light comes on slowly. Otherwise that'd be one heck of a wakeup
![]() I'm not sure why in the world anyone could possibly want it back that far... |
