Normal Sleep
Or lack there of...
Something happened to me since I had that redline energy drink...I can't freakin sleep right. I mean, I can be in the most uncomfortable position in the chair watching tv and start to nod off. As soon as I try to goto bed and lay down, I become wide awake and not tired any more. I work days right now, meaning I get up at 5am. I need sleep, I'm too old to do all nighters now.
Friday I went out to the bar, got home late. Woke up at 7am and couldn't go back to bed. Saturday I went out to the bar, got home late. Woke up around 7:30-8am and couldn't go back to sleep. The last two nights I have tried to goto sleep relatively early (before 10pm) and I am extremely tired when get home, if I nap I can't sleep. If I don't nap I can't sleep. BOO!
That made no sense, but what ever. I'm overtired yet wide awake...

My problem is that my brain activity is frantic at bedtime. I can be tired enough to fall asleep sitting up, yet when my head hits the pillow all I do is lay there awake.
Maybe try putting a small fan next to your bed or sleeping with the TV on low and the timer set to go off in an hour or so.

Well I fell asleep around 1am again and got up an hour ago (it's 6am). Just about to leave, looks like I'm picking up a redbull on the way to work.
Yeah it's weird Duke, that's kinda what is happening to me - and i don't like it.

Weiser, could it be that something deep down is troubling you...something you are dissatisfied with? Just a thought...I know when I don't sleep, that is usually the problem...

I was worse, I was sleeping soooooo badly, wasn't getting any rest, stay awake, be stressed and be tired all the time.
Last week I saw my doc for a routine control and I asked for some very light sleeping pills - Spasmine. As a matter of fact, I told her that I was stressed, nervous and she gave me that telling me that it also helps with my sleep.
It's based on plants exclusively, you can take up to 6 a day and you don't need a prescription.
I love the fact that it cools me down if I take one in the evening.
Meanon might remember, all summer I was going bezirk because of my insomnia. Just see do your research on the net, see what products NOT to take and see your doc.

Probably a residue of the energy drink in you. Skip drinking any over the weekend, drinks tons of water since this causes extreme dehydration and see if you get back to normal. ALSO....read THIS:
Health Risks of Energy Drinks
In the four reports of adverse reactions involving "energy drinks," symptoms included:
Electrolyte disturbances
Nausea and vomiting
Heart irregularities.
These four incidents involved improper use of "energy drinks," such as drinking them with alcohol or in greater quantities than recommended.
Excessive drinking of "energy drinks" or mixing them with alcohol can have serious health effects.

Why don't you Google it out and do a news article about your findings for the front page? It would be really interesting to read. There are lots of sites to get info from.

Weiser there are no secrets in life. Your sleep is affected by your state of mind. If you cannot control that, this horrible state will end up by controlling you. You're restless.
I suggest you calm down, LOL . And make an appointment to see your doc.

But...I work in a factory, I punch in and I punch out, people tell me what to do. I have no stress, I don't have to worry about deadlines...Nothing is bothering me.
Well, perhaps it's my excitement towards my birthday...Two of my extremely good friends are coming to Windsor for my birthday. That's not until late feburary though. Very odd indeed.
I found myself having to stop at the store on the way to work today to pick up a little energy drink so I could wake up. Did not fall asleep until almost 2 last night and I got up at 5am again.

Try drinking mugwort tea an hour before you go to bed, it helps me when I have those restless nights.

OMG, it looks like a warm cup of a bad nights drinkin'.
I think that sleep depravation can result as an inner conflict or other mental unrest but I don't think that's the case for everyone. It makes no difference if I'm happy, sad, complacent, worked to death, bored, listless, etc., I simply can't sleep.
I've also had this problem since childhood but as I age it's starting to get harder to deal with. It also doesn't help being a light sleeper because once your awake, your awake and it takes nothing to wake me up. Just a booger shifting from one side of my naustril to another is enough to keep me awake for hours.
