I guess the think that worries me is dealing with alcoholism is controlling the urge to drink as you've stated. Controlling the urge of molestation isn't exactly a good thing IMHO, getting rid of the urge is what's needed. I just can't understand how someone can view a little kid as a sexual partner in any capacity.

we can't imagine that because we're not sick in the head like these preditors are. We'll never fully understand how and why.

There are medications now that help comtrol those urges. The article i wrote in the local newspaper that helped to stop that preditor from moving into the neighbourhood was apparently on meds to "curb his appetite for children". This was stated in the paper. The scary thing about that is how do we know they'll take their meds? we don't.

I don't believe that a sexual preditor can be rehabilitated. I think once they commit that awful act on children, they should be locked up until the day they die. That's the only way to keep our kids safe. The all re-offend when they're let out. I'll never understand how a robber gets more time then a child molester does. They system is telling us that material things are worth more then our children are. Makes no sense.

You can never be sure they'll take their meds. My ex's brother is a psyco lunatic who has beaten up almost all of his family (actually put his sisters head through a wall), tried to beat up a cop, etc., etc., and he's on meds, when he wants to be.

That's why I think meds are retarded for people like that. Those people are walking among society and that put everyone at risk to become a victim.

I agree with you 110% but what do we do, lock them all up and pay extra taxes to take care of them? I actually think that all the nutbags like that should have to live on workfarms where they actually provide for themselves but are still under maximum security.
