Marathon of Hope
Feeling a little sad tonight and watching the aftermath of the Terry Fox-Marathon of Hope on the News tonight. Mike McArdell (sp?) of Global TV replayed the last interview with Terry Fox just before he died. He was so ill already, but what he has accomplished is unbelievable!
Over $300 million dollars have been raised since he started the Marathon of Hope 25 years ago, and the run is happening world-wide now! His Mother said so many Cancers aren't a Death Sentence now, even the Cancer he had! Is there anyone in the world who doesn't know who he is and what he has accomplished in his short but inspirational life...I wonder... |

Props to the guy and all for doing all he did and whatnot, but there was no way in hell I was going to watch that movie. I lived in Thunder Bay for over a decade and there is a monument to him there. I've had enough of Terry to last me a lifetime.
