Love wins out over sex, scientists say
Love wins out over sex, scientists say
Brain scans document differences between the two

The processing of romantic feelings involves a "constellation of neural systems." The researchers ââ¬â neuroscientists, anthropologists and social psychologists ââ¬â declare love the clear winner versus sex in terms of its power over the human mind.
"Romantic love is one of the most powerful of all human experiences," said study member Helen Fisher, an anthropologist at Rutgers University. "It is definitely more powerful than the sex drive."
Fisher said the study might suggest some of the physiology of stalking behavior. Other studies suggest that up to 40 percent of people who are rejected in love slip into clinical depression, she said

yes i do, most deffinately is the truth. Romantic love is so much deeper then just plain old sex. This is why sex isn't the most important thing in a relationship. Intimacy is more then sex alone.

For women maybe and mature men, the average young man (or the ones I grew up with) were more concerned with "getting some" instead of any type of commitment.

Exactly. I mean what stud would turn down a ONS with a gorgeus woman, had the opportunity arise?

My roomate is a gorgeous woman, but her depression and resulting very unromantic makes her unattractive.
It can not be all about sex. Even just for a "One Night Stand"= ONS.
I got one acronym for once!!!

I think that's only because you know her d00d. If you didn't know her and met her in a bar, it's likely you'd go for it. It's after learning of her issues that you become un-interested.

Most won't. But if you could ask him if he was looking just for sex or if he would prefer to find the woman of his dreams....chances are it would be the second choice.

I agree with what Merika said.
a person can have loveless sex every day of the week and will still feel like the loneliest person on earth. Lust doesn't fulfill the need to be loved.

I was never interested in a ONS with anyone. People joked about me, that when I was 17 or so, that I would not even be interested in a super-model, unless she could hold good conversation with me.
As for the difference between sex and romantic love, that is obvious. The first is a purely physical need, and the second is primarily a spiritual thing.

Let's use Duke as an example...he walks around with no pants on to impress the neighbors....but we know he's just looking for REAL love. LMAO!

I am looking for real love actually, well, I'm not really looking, but it would be nice to find it though, if I were looking.
I don't think one word of that made any sense at all.
