Default On-line Gambling

Just being sort of new to the Internet, I never used to pay attention to Online anything. Now I read in the newspaper there is online gambling and was told it's been around for some time...somewhat like me

Anyway, I posted it here because it's not wellness, it could be a sickness, especially for the Seniors that I've sold tickets to when working in Retail. My Gosh, it must be hard enough to live on the pension they get, how do even have enough for the money spent on tickets, buy groceries, etc.?

There were many that were regulars just for tickets! I especially remember one lady who was a little hefty, so maybe that's why she would just lean her elbows on the counter and take her own sweet time picking out her tickets. Forget anyone behind her, she paid no heed. It got so when we saw her coming, we would immediately call for another cashier! I guess it was either that I exuded more patience (or dumbness) I was mostly paged just to serve her, it became a joke with the other cashiers. I used to get that a lot from other customers especially if another cashier didn't show up immediately when paged!.....I'm so happy to be out of Retail

I'm too poor for such an expensive bad habit.

People doing so must be out of their mind, the chances of winning are so low and there's always the stockmarket if you feel lucky.

With the stock enchange nowadays, at least they have a better chance of forecasting their investment.

It's really not an expensive habit and it's one of the most popular forms of gaming online today. I personally wouldn't do it but I know people who do and love it.

I used to have a retired lady who lived next door who absolutely LOVED online gambling. I think if someone can keep from spending too much money and it's a safe site... then they should do what they enjoy.

However, SOME people end up with a problem. I'm with Twinkle...I don't have enough money to worry about getting a gambling problem.

I gambled once, when I was 9 years old or so. Never again!

No. I was about 9 years old (third grade, first grade starts at roughly 6 years of age), and I was challenged to do the math exercises of the 6th grade. These were easy divisions, although I somehow forgot to put down a number.

I made a mistake, and should have lost ten guilders ($5.50). It was horrible having to experience that. But it cured me of any possible gambling addiction, so it was well worth it
