Default Kid Physical Injuries

When you were a kid....did you get injured often? Sprains, broken bones, etc..... I think some kids are just more prone to it.

Jackson got his annual summer injury last night. He fell thru a lose board on a deck at someone's house at the beach and has now sprained his ankle. His leg is all bruised up and swollen. She is a nurse, so we decided on the phone there really wasn't much reason to go to the hospital.

This injury is worse than getting his foot caught in the spokes of his bicycle and less than when he fell on a fishing knife and cut out a whole chunk of his leg. When he was 5 or so...he also broke both wrists at the same time. He always has bruises and scrapes all over his body. It's almost embarassing. I don't know if it's a boy thing or if he's just clumsy.

i have never broke a bone in my body and i've only had 2 sprained ankles and 4 stitches (from injuries) in my life

Gerry on the other hand is a clutz as is kassandra. by the time she was 3 years old, she hadtwice needed stitches on her forehead from banging it and more on her head. she's always got bruises all over her legs and she just recently sprained her ankle at a friend's house. She's following in her dad's footsteps. :?

Krystal's only had stitches once on her baby finger and that was because of kassandra! she pushed krystal while she was on her bike, she fell and the handlbar (that had no cover on it and we don't know why not!) cut clean almost through her pinky. it was dangling. the doctor that repaired it did an excellent job because you can't tell now that she was almost missing her pinky tip. OH! she also had a hot toaster on her face so she had 2nd degree burns when she was about 8 months old. her older sister (who was 4 at the time) had placed it on her face. again, absolutely no scarring whatsoever. she's lucky!

actually, yes, becuase I got it after talking about all my injuries..

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=gimp

As far as major injuries for me:

Too many scrapes to count thus countless scars on my legs and arms.

Pant leg got caught in my bike sprocket when I was racing someone, Stopped imediatly but the force from me pedaling flipped me over my handlebars and I scraped up virtually my whole right side.
Got a cuncusion and couldn't read right for 2 weeks.

Was snowboarding once and tried to do a jump after this corner through woods, was still leaning into the turn when I went off the jump so I did a half flip forward and landed in my head.
bent my spine which pinched one fo the arteries to my brain causing me to have severe migranes and I could hardly sleep at ntie for 4 months til we figured it out. Went to a chiropractor for 2 years, he said probably the bike accident weakened my spine to cuase the snowboarding accident to be so severe.
I still have some memory loss (I attribute to the lack fo blood to my brain) and my ankles and knees are bad from having my back out of line for so long.

Then also, though it's not really an injury, I have juvenile arthritis, so pretty much all my joints hurt.
