Default If you are feeling blue ...

or sad, do you have a method for getting yourself out of that mood and feeling better about yourself? What do you do when you feel this way?

that's a good question. i have been in a weird funk for like 2 weeks now and it just wont go away...there are multiple reasons as to why i am like this - the latest being that my car went kaput saturday morning.

i'm usually pretty good about bouncing back the next day but i dont know this time, its weird.

I usually don't try to get out of that mood, I kinda engulf myself in it, put up some fitting music (usually classical music), cry a bit (I cry very easily), have a good honest talk with my wife about it and take things easy. Usually I end up snapping out of it because I seem to have lived that mood, it's like my body and mind saying, ok, we processed that mood, time to move on.
If I ignore feeling sad/blue or distract myself from it, it just stays under the surface for weeks, making me feel uncomfortable.
So just going along with it works best for me I guess.

My Faith helps me SO much because my belief is that we were all meant to be happy! When trials come, sure I cry and feel down, but I ALWAYS look for what I'm grateful for in my life...and it's easy to find something immediately! There are SO many things to be grateful for in our lives that we take for granted...such as the ability to see, to share, to laugh, to cry, to walk, to talk, to love....I will go on and on and on if someone doesn't stop me! Already just typing this I'm in a fabulous mood! Trials don't last, just make stronger people! If something is wrong in our lives, we have the ability to fix it, or get help, or be strong enough to live with it in our lives! It is a CHOICE every moment and every day!
