I have a 14 year old son and can't imagine what these parents are going thru. I have no idea how I would deal with something like that. I would think one of the hardest hurdles is not blaming yourself as a parent. For those of us in here who have children who have had various problems.....one of the most important things is to have people around you who support you and help you realize sometimes life just doesn't go the way we planned it.
Just wanted to let you know that Dave has started Michael on Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatments (HBOT). We are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that this will produce improvements. A lady here in town whose son has a similar disability to Michael says she credits the HBOT with helping her son to talk. I know Dave wants to hear Michael's voice most of all right now so I am going to keep praying that this speeds up the process. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks.
