Default gain no weight eating potato

Potato is one of those foods that when eaten, it burns off straight away, giving it a high G.I factor (Glycemic index).
A person would have to eat 12 kilos (26 pounds) of potatos to gain 1 kilo (2 pounds) of weight.
Margarine or butter and milk added to potatos is the reason why potato will put weight on.
Sounds great in a diet, but one problem though, if you put potato in a diet (just by itself), it will leave a person feeling not fully satisfied as I wont fill you up, and you may snack on something else as a result.

Thanks for posting that, Chris! I've been feeling guilty for eating potatoes,...so as long as I don't put anything on them, I'm fine...I usually just put some margarine on them, that's all. I'll just start eating them plain again like I did for the longest time...

this is very good to know! thanks! I love potatoes. i usually put margarine on them as wel and if i mash them, i add margerine and milk. i won't do that anymore and see the results.

Sorry, I can't eat a potatoe with nothing on it. Again, eating in moderation is okay. Eat the potatoe with the stuff on it just don't over do the stuff.

I put everything on my baked potatoes too. Butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon....and sometimes chili. No wonder they make my a$$ fat.
