eye infections

I woke up this morning and my left eye felt strange and watering a lot. now both my eyes are doing that and it feels like i have sand in one spot in both of them. this really bites. my vision goes blurry until i wipe my eyes. I'm probably going to wake up tomorrow morning with both eyes stuck shut.

This really bites!! I can't go anywhere looking like this. my eyes are all puffy and red as heck. man this sux!

I just hope the baby doesn't catch this. anyone know how long these stupid things last? I can't remember it's been years and years since i had this.

I don't go to the doctor when i know what it is (uness i'm bleeding or something bad). i'll wait a week and if it's still not gone by then, then i'll go. same thing with ear infections. it's not healthy to take antibiotics all the time. it weakens your amune system. the doctor told me that herself.

yeah it weakend your immune system if you take them all the time, but if you have an actual sickness it can help, i rarely get sick, but when i do i get medicine, and besides you live in canada and it doesnt cost you an arm and a leg.

If you have the pink eye....the only thing which will get rid of it is antibiotics......drops or salve from the doctor. If that's what it is....the whole family will probably get it in one degree or another. At least you can share the meds.

An allergy to something can also cause it. Did you buy any new candles or air freshners or change your laundry detergent?

Is it better or getting worse?

It's pink eye and i have it in both eyes. woke up this morning with both my eyes glued shut. GROSS!

I have no idea where i would've caught this. I did go to the plaza the other day, maybe i walked past somebody who had it.

I'll get gerry to go to the drugstore tonight and get some polysporin eye and ear drops (way cheaper then a prescription). I thought I had some here but i don't.

I'll be extra careful around the baby. I wish it wasn't a school day so that kassandra can look after her all day today but, she has school.

DA, we have to pay for our prescriptions and antibiotics do cost an arm and a leg here. Going to the doctors doesn't cost us anything but they sure make that up with the meds and we have no coverage. Unless I'm really sick, I'll avoid it.

That's disgusting, just make sure you don't rub your eyes or even come near them and touch Erika. Aren't eyes one of the filthiest spots on the body?

it's extremely disgusting. i'll be walking around all day holding a warm damp cloth. gross!!!

I've never heard about the eyes being the filthiest spots on the body before. something new to me. that's interesting.

I know the eyebrows are very bad and I seem to recall reading somewhere that you shouldn't touch anything after touching your eyes. I could be wrong though.

I know that your eyelashes hold a lot of little microscopic bugs and they live in the pores of your eyelashes.......isn't that gross!! EWWWW! that information, I think, is in this forum someplace.

My eyes look tiny and very puffy and they're totally red. I won't be going anywhere today at all looking like this. I haven't had pink eye since I was in my 20's.

I don't catch things or get sick too often so when I do, I'm a big baby about it. LOL!

It got better on it's own thanks.

I didn't get any eye drops or anything. They're still a little runny but my eyes aren't puffy and red anymore. It started to clear up within a couple of days.

You may have got a dog hair or some cleaning fluid in them off of your hands.

that could be a possibility. Oh well, I'm just happy that it's finally gone! nothing worse then not being able to open up your eyes in the morning. ewwwwwwwww!!

Has your face gotten any better as well?
